You don’t eat a platano in puerto rico. You use those to fry and they are green. We just say banana.
I am fucking venezuelan, i say CAMBÚR (and sometimes Banana)
Al venezolano que diga banana hay que pegarle tres cachetadas pa’ que sea serio XD
esa vaina es un cambul chico queloqué.
Jajajajaja xD
jajajajaja xDDDDDDDD
HAHAHAHAHA donde dejan el famoso GUINEO?
GUINEO! At least in Central America aha, then the platano is just in the guineo’s family. But guineo is banana to us.
Hahah, Banan is actually an Arabic word but we also don’t call it Banana. xD
At least in Spain (as far as I’m aware), the difference between a “plátano” and a “banana” is where the fruit comes from. If it’s from the Canary Islands, it’s a “plátano”, and if it’s from somewhere else, it’s a “banana”. That’s just my understanding, though. Most of the time we just call everything a “plátano”, though I think technically (or at least as far as the Canary Chamber of Commerce would like us to think), it’s a “plátano” only if it comes from the islands.
THIS! Thank you Liz!
I call it Banana si es que me lo pueda comer asi como una fruta. Platano frito. Banana, fruta pa’ comer y platano, pa’ cocinar y comercelo con crema, frijoles, queso fresco, huevos, pan… mmmm!!!
First answer THIS. It’s a Banana, a platano is something we cut and fry & let me just add I live in a Puerto Rican/Dominican household. That is all.
